Saturday 11th April 2015

Today we got up very early in the morning. At 6:00 we got on the bus to go to Wien (Viena). Wien is an amazing building, full of history and monuments. Some of our Slovac friends have come with us.

Maria-Theresien-Platz is a square just north of the Hofburg that was created in the nineteenth century. It is named in honor of Empress Maria Theresa, whose huge monument is the centerpiece of the square.

Stephansdom, one of Vienna’s most famous sights. St. Stephen's Cathedral defines the city centre and has been the heart of Vienna for centuries.

We have had some free time in the center of the city to have lunch. And, as always, MacDonals has been the most famous spot of the city.

Then we have headed to Bratislava. Today is the day of the European Capitals! We have gone from Zilina (Slovakia) to Wien (Austria) and back to Slovakia to visit Bratislava.

Bratislava is a small but very interesting city. First we have walked along the Danuvio river where we have seen the mixture of the historical buildings with the more modern ones.

  1. I think that this was one of the best day in Eslovàquia, because we visited a lot of differents cities and countries, we started with Viena (Àustria) that is an amazing and beautiful city and we could visit cultural places, after we visited also Bratislava, I like it but I prefer Viena because is more big, and for finally we returned to Zilina Eslovaquia that is the city that they live.

  3. That day we went to Vienna and Bratislava. I enjoyed that day a lot because they were two gorgeous cities. I enjoyed more visiting Vienna than Bratislava because of its monuments and buildings. There was an amazing cathedral there and it was really big and beautiful. We saw lots of shops where everything was very expensive. I liked Bratislava too. Everything was smaller, even the houses and the streets, but we had a really good time. Everything was made of stone and it looked really old. It was really nice. There I ate a huge piece of pizza.

  4. Viena was one of my favourite places we went to on the trip. It was so beautiful and big, and there were a lot of shops and horses. We also went to Bratislava where our friend Filip (we met him in Esmun) told us about everything on the city and took us to eat an ice-crem.
